Formulas: Moist Density (ρ) - Definition: Moist Density (ρ) is defined as the optimum moisture content for the soil when it contented water. (1) Water Content ( w ) - Definition: Water content ( w ) is defined as the weight of the water (W w ) in a soil specimen divided by the weight of the solid particles (W s ) in a soil specimen expressed as a percentage.
