When communicating with others you can mess with their mind and present yourself the way you want to be seen. Such as, dressing a certain way, talking a different way, sitting or standing a certain way, walking a different way, or using different vocabulary than you are used to using in your daily life. You do this by altering your personal appearance to look how you want to be presented. When you think of being friendly, you think of a smiling person that talks to you. But when wanting to look friendlier you must do more than just smile. If you just smile you might look creepy or someone might get a different vibe from you. The main thing you could do to alter your appearance to make you look friendlier is, project openness. Of course, you need to smile, the easiest part, but you also need to stand the right way. Don’t stand with your arms crossed, lean in when someone is talking to you, and always make enough eye contact. When you are wanting to look smarter, the most you can do is don’t dress like a bum.
