Setup Instructions for Cloud-based Virtual Windows PC using Paperspace (credit to Prof Sager) For ACCTG 432, MAC and Chromebook users will need to use Windows-based Lumira. MAC and Chromebook users can use the Windows-based Lumira by establishing a cloud-based virtual Windows 10 PC from Paperspace. MAC and Chromebook users may also choose to use the virtual PC for the SAP assignment. Below are instructions to create, manage and deactivate your account. Paperspace pricing—CAUTION : Paperspace charges users $5.00/month plus $0.07/hour the PC is active. The user must shutdown the Cloud-based Windows system to stop the hourly charges. If left on, Paperspace will charge $1.68/day every day the system is on. The monthly billings will continue until the account is deactivated. At the end of the semester, the user must deactivate the account. Good news— Paperspace will give you a $10 credit for opening an account if you use the link provided below. This will cover all or almost all of the charges for this semester. Open an account and virtual PC: About internet browser—Chrome is preferred. DO NOT USE SAFARI!!

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
