Consider and explain how power can change the psychological functioning of a leader. Engage your peers with questions. In your response posts, comment on how an effective leader handles power. In a study done by Turner & Schabram (2012) they consider how the basis of power is impacted by interpersonal perception and meta-personal perceptions of those who hold power. They found that meta-perceptions matter and that it can influence interpersonal actions and guide social interactions (Turner & Schabram, 2012). This means that if an individual perceives himself to have power and assumes that others perceive them as having power they will act according to their perceptions. It appears that perception is the beginning of how power changes the psychological functioning of a leader.
