The Bobbit Worm: Cute and tiny or vulgar and ferocious? By: Vincent Soranno The Bobbit worm, sounds cute and harmless right? Believe it or not, these petite worms are actually ferocious underwater predators. With the species name being something as ridiculous as Eunice Aphroditois, This small yet vicious worm’s name has been simplified to something as easy as the bobbit worm. Interesting facts about this worm include belonging to the Eunicidae family, which makes logical sense knowing that scientists refer to this worm as the “Eunice worm.” It’s possible to find this vulgar little guy in Secret Bay in Bali, Indonesia as well as Basura in Anilao, Philippines. It likes sandy and gravel environments, as it actually blends in well with those areas. This complicated worm actually has many non-simplistic things about it, such as it has chemical and light receptors that causes it to lunge at fish when it thinks that they are nearby, they have 5 antennae that provides the house for these sensory receptors.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
