can impact from adulthood. These factors can contribute to juvenile delinquency, involvement to gangs which often leads to adults with a criminal record. Females juveniles are more suitable for gang involvement due to an abusive environment, substance abuse, poor parental management and living in poor urban areas. Studies have shown that certain behavior in violence can lead females to become apart of gangs and illegal activities. Throughout the 1980s reports have shown that females in gangs contribute to them being in illegal activities like selling drugs, property crime or also high rates of violence, Women have now taken the role of male gang members where they have become more violent and committed more heinous crimes than before. Females in the gang lifestyle have initiation rites that they need to endure in order to become part of the gang membership. These Initiation rites are the most painful and humiliating for them to do. The initiation rites are mostly done by the gang leaders in which they get to choose what type of initiation they will receive. From the article Female Gang Members: A Profile of Aggression and Victimization states, “ Pull a train” get tattoos, participate in a robbery, or participate in a drive-by shooting” (Molidor P. 253).
