Instrumemt- Piano, Song- ; The piano is an acoustic, stringed musical instrument invented in Italy by Bartolomeo Cristofori around the year 1700, in which the strings are struck by hammers. The piano is said to be one of the most complicated musical instruments as is has over 2,500 parts to it. The five general and mechanical areas of the piano are : the case, the soundboard, the cast iron plate, the strings, and essentially the keyboard. The piano is made with some of the most finest materials for both look and sound production. Steel is used for the majority of the piano parts as well as wood and bentonite. The keys of a standard piano are usually covered on the surface with artificial acrylic and/or ivory. The first pianos were a luxury too expensive for even the very wealthy to own.
