Nguyen 1 Hoang Anh Nguyen Professor Khalaf ENGL 1301 – 6L81 26 November 2018 How do formal and informal educations affect one’s life? In the twenty-first century, how do formal and informal interests play out in human development? Formal education is classroom-based, administered by qualified professors. Informal education appears outside the classroom, community-based groups, neighborhood or at home. The influence of formal and informal education on human development in the 21st century is enormous. Society is growing, and it requires people to be flexible to fit in. Formal and informal educations have a direct and significant role in the development of human skills and personality. With tremendous influence on society, formal and informal education helps people cultivate creativity, problem identification, and communication skills. First of all, formal and informal education sets us at a certain level of creativity, depending on the environment and the way we receive that education. Formal education teaches us about the form and the way to do something within a particular framework. Our creativity has since been shaped and developed according to the living conditions and educational environment of each person. As an example, based on my experience, my class teacher assigned our group a presentation of a very long physics lesson that would be hard to impress with the class. I was the one who gave the idea that we would present the theory to the music and experiment before the class to help everybody deeply understand the lesson. Our group received the perfect score in the presentation, and the principal praised us for our hard work and creativity.

Nguyen 2 Some may argue that formal education limits the ability of human creativity because it always follows a certain framework and that becomes a barrier to human development.
