1.02 Poetry Characteristic Selected Poem Title- No, Love is not dead- Robert Desnos Initial Response: What does this poem seem to be about? A man, Robert Desnos, who is/was deeply in love in every way and form and is confessing it finally and seemingly late. As he looks back on rendezvous and past times with his love, or maybe about a lost love that even though is gone, his love is never-ending or maybe its about one who’s heart he broke and is trying to win back through love in the “cruelty” thereof. Words: Were the words in this poem difficult or easy to understand? Was there any word or phrase that was powerful to you? The words in this poem were frankly, extremely easy to comprehend. I feel like it wasn’t all deep and confusing as I orally find most poetry to be. This poem was simple and mostly self-explanatory. There weren’t specific words that I felt were powerful, since I felt the entire poem captured the power of love entirely.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
