Case Study Analysis Form 1. Who are the key persons in the case and what are their roles in the case? In the case study Grandma’s Boy multiple key people play a defining role in Justin’s life. Although some may disagree, one of the main people who plays a role, but is not active in his life, is his mother. Justin’s mom is the catalyst that has set this series of events to begin. By leaving Justin and disappearing she set him up for emotional distress and put him in the path of his grandmother. So in my mind, she is a key player. Another person that is key and a root of this Justin’s problems is the grandmother, Ann Richardson. A few adjectives to describe her would be rude, overbearing and callous. Regardless of how Justin’s mom has acted she is still his mother and should be afforded a minimum of respect in front of him. The grandmother is multiplying Justin’s emotional problems with her callous attitude and lack of respect for his feelings. The dad while physically in the picture seems cowed down by his mother’s dominating attitude and refuses to see or do anything about the anguish the grandmother is causing his son. In all, his nuclear family has failed him and that brings me to the final key player in his life, Helen Jamison. Ms. Jamison tries to be a light in his life and guide him down the right path without much if any success. She is a very important part of his life if not the most important part for him because she sees his heartache and tries to mend it.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
