7 NÚMERO 27 Hospitalidad ESDAI La economía creativa, una fuente creciente de desarrollo Raquela María Araujo Gómez En este mundo tan cambiante y complejo que nos está to- cando vivir, los problemas a enfrentar como sociedad se con- vierten en retos difíciles, que nos llevan plantear soluciones de una forma diferente, con recursos diferentes respecto a lo que hasta ahora se ha hecho; la búsqueda de soluciones con crea- tividad a través de nuevas ideas permite entre otras cosas el aprovechamiento de recursos intangibles hacia un desarrollo, traducido en un mejor nivel de vida. “[...] La complejidad, la imprevisibilidad y el ritmo de los acontecimientos en nuestro mundo, así como la dureza del es- trés ambiental a escala mundial, se están disparando. Si nues- tras sociedades quieren gestionar sus recursos y mejorar su bienestar, necesitarán de mayor ingenio, es decir, más ideas para solucionar sus problemas” (Homer-Dixon, 2012). La actividad económica y social en los países se ha visto modificada de tal forma que la mayor parte de las industrias tradicionales están incorporando los valores del diseño y la creatividad a sus productos para diferenciarse de los produc- tos de la competencia, de forma que los aspectos intangibles, derivados del pensamiento creativo, se han convertido en elementos fundamentales para el ofrecimiento de bienes y servicios. 9 NÚMERO 27 Hospitalidad ESDAI ABSTRACT In this changing and complex world in where we hap- pened to live in, the problems we deal with as a society be- come difficult challenges, which lead us to propose solutions in a different way, with different resources with regard to what until now has been done; the search for solutions with cre- ativity through new ideas allows –among other things– the exploitation of intangible resources towards a development, which results in a better standard of living. “[...] The complexity, unpredictability and the pace of events in our world, as well as the hardness of global environ- mental stress, are shooting up. If our societies desire to man- age their resources and improve their well-being, they will need more ingenuity, that is, more ideas to solve their prob- lems” (Homer-Dixon, 2012). The economic and social activity in the countries has been modified so that most of the traditional industries are incor- porating the values of design and creativity to its products to differentiate themselves from the competition products, in such a way that the intangible aspects of creative think- ing, have become fundamental elements for the provision of goods and services.
