Row Heading 1 September 17, 2019 Journal 4 On April 4, 1968, Martin Luther King was assassinated. The same day Robert F Kennedy the U.S senator from New York gave his speech addressing the murder of Martin Luther King. On the night of April 4, 1968, Robert F Kennedy wanted to deliver the news to the people of Indianapolis, IN. Robert F Kennedy was warned by the police of Indianapolis that they would not provide him protection in case of riots since he was in “The heart of the African-American ghetto.” Robert F Kennedy wrote his speech on his ride to Indianapolis he gave his speech on the back of a flatbed truck. After most major cities had riots after the assassination of Martin Luther King Indianapolis remained calm after the speech that was given by Robert F Kennedy. Sixty- Three days after Robert F Kennedy gave his speech he was assassinated. The speech given by Robert F Kennedy contained mostly a pathos approach throughout the entire speech. Throughout the speech there is some ethos, but pathos dominates the speech.
