Sara Ibrahim English 102 September 23, 2007 American Forgetting Anna Quindlen said. “Americans like history as long as it’s over fast enough.” She thinks that Americans always forget history. For example, the event September 11, 2001 when the World Trade Center in New York got crashed by Airline Flight and nearly 3,000 people died, everyone was so sad and said we will never forget them but they forget over time. I really agree with her, I remember back when this event happens, it was a disaster and everyone was crying but now it is like nothing happened and everyone forgot about the people who died. Not just Americans forget; people from all over the world forget the worst events that happened to their countries when time goes by. All the damages that happened to the countries after World War One and World War Two, it was a really big disaster for a lot of countries but people forgot about them and about the people who died in those events. Ann Quindlen disagree with the war in Iraq and she said, “Instead we launched a war, a
