IT SAYS: The myths associated with the class, the myth of difference from the rest of humanity, is thus, to an extent, is composed of fragments of the real world, perceived through the ideological bias of the observer. Gilman 204 I SAY: No single person is above another in reality, but in the real world, people look down at others just because they may be different. AND SO: People tend to fear what they don’t know or understand. People may also stare at someone who looks or acts differently than they do because they can’t help but look at what is unknown to them. 2. IT SAYS: While the discussion of the function of conventions has helped reveal the essential iconographic nature of all visual representation, it has been mainly limited to a specific sphere-aesthetics.
