3 ASSIGNMENT 2: NEWSPAPER ARTICLE PICTURE TAKING BACK THE POWER OF TEACHING Introduction Imagine you are trying to teach a lesson, however you find some learners are talking while you are speaking, some learners are fiddling with their things on their desk while looking bored, some are gazing out the window and one particular learner stands up and say the lesson is boring without doing the activity first. How do we as teachers deal with these issues that prevent learning from taking place? The first impression The first impression that we make on our learners determines the way they respond to us and as teachers we educate and guide learners in the right direction. There are many issues that South African teachers face today such as getting learners to respect and follow your orders, learners resisting disciplinary measures, authority and a habitual of late coming. Morality Morality is one of the aspects that effects performance, teachers take on the role of teaching learners to play appropriately, not to steal even the proper way to talk, to implement this easily we can allow learners to come up with their own ways to treat their classmates with kindness, you can even compile a book/file which you can use as a rule book in the class.
