I did not know when it originated. From research, I found out that Zumba is, “an aerobic fitness program featuring movements inspired by various styles of Latin American dance and performed primarily to Latin American dance music” (Mayoclinic.com). Zumba is not only fun but also a great exercise. There are many health benefits from doing Zumba, such as it “targets lots of different muscle groups at once for total body toning. Boosts your heart health. You not only get aerobic benefits [...] you also get anaerobic benefits – the kind that help you maintain a good cardiovascular respiratory system” (Piedmont.org).
