Brittany Morgan 07/22/19 Sociology Imagination Sociological imagination is understanding the social outcomes are based off what we do. Certain things in society may lead to certain outcomes. The factors are things like motives or norms, the social context could be things like what country you are in or the time period. How we behave is shaped by: our current situation, the values we have, and the way people act around us. It is also the capacity to shift one view point to another. A person must be able to detach from one situation and think of an alternative. The way people eat can be a form of sociological imagination. When people are talking about eating, it could include having a healthy eating balance, eating disorders, or simply going to eat to meet up with friends as an activity. When most people are eating it's because their body is telling them their hungry. To keep our body alive and healthy we must eat. Humans are supposed to eat things off the food pyramid to make sure we get the nutrients and protein we need. This is known as the healthy eating pyramid.
