Nathan Au Due Date: 9/25/19 Per.3 Introduction Last week we were given a fan cart and we were expected to run an experiment that would allow us to determine the acceleration of the moving fan cart and analyze the precision and accuracy of the overall experiment. The question that our experiment was centralized around was “ What is the acceleration of the fan cart as determined by a meter stick and a stopwatch? How accurate/precise is the result of your experiment?” The procedure for this experiment is that we were given a small fan cart and we had placed it on the classroom floor next to 2 meter sticks that we had laid on the floor in a straight line. We then used a stopwatch to see how long it took for the fan cart to reach the end of the 2 meter stick. After gaining our data after 4 trials, we needed to calculate the acceleration for each of the four trials by using the equation for an accelerated motion which is distance= initial velocity * time + ½ acceleration * time ^2. Lastly,

What students are saying

• As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

• I cannot even describe how much Course Hero helped me this summer. It’s truly become something I can always rely on and help me. In the end, I was not only able to survive summer classes, but I was able to thrive thanks to Course Hero.

• The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
