Read the case study below and then answer the question that follows.
RCM
RCM is a South African mining company with newly established branches in Zimbabwe,
Nigeria and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). A position for a supply chain
manager became vacant in the DRC some time ago. The executive vice-president of RCM,
after consulting with his executive team, decided to send Manase to take up the supply chain
manager’s position in the DRC. Two years later, Manase came back to
RCM in South Africa
after he had finished his work in the DRC. On his arrival, he found that there were no vacant
positions that were suitable for him. As a result, he found himself being used to do almost
everything that was available to do; he really could not say what his job was. Manase had
