However, in the STEM fields, initiatives targeted directly to women andethnic minorities have met with some degree of success, and the percentagesof students and teachers from these underrepresented groups are increasing. Itwould seem to make sense for instructors of courses in analytic philosophy toinclude writings of philosophers who share their training and their approachto philosophical discussion and who can broaden the selection of topics andthe diversity of perspectives included in their courschapters that can be so utilized.
