Briefly describe your understanding, experience, and interest in Leadership. Note: This should be brief, recognizing that you will be coming back to this focus in more depth with the Personal Reflections on Leadership Assignment.Leaders are not needed to survive, but leaders are required to advance as a society collectively. I believe that leadership involves individuals that guide others to accomplish a comparable or common goal. Thus, effective leaders are a critical asset, not only in the workplace but in society. They are needed to spark inspiration in individuals and unite them to work for the greater good rather than personal gain. I do not think that people are born leaders, but that they are built into leaders through effective communication. Once a leader can effectively communicate and influence society, they will develop other critical skills such as confidence, creativity and attentiveness. I believe that these character traits are vital to understanding the values a leadership position requires to connect with people; thus, I think a leader must widely share standards with the individuals they inspire. After critically evaluating leadership positions throughout my life, I concluded that I had experienced both positive and negative encounters. Some individuals may acquire that leaders are not needed, but the lack of an effective leader harms organizations or the general public. In the workplace, the lack of a leader can lead to employee turnover and goals being unmet. A leader must motivate their team to deliver their requirements in a timely and effective manner to meet the success of the company. I, personally, experienced the effects of poor leaders within the
