ED 118:  Schooling and Multicultural Society FORM 2: PURPOSES OF SCHOOLING AND STUDENT EVALUATION Name____________________________________________ DUE TUESDAY, JANUARY 15 Obtain a report card from your elementary school experience.  If you cannot get one of your own, you may look at another  person’s or school’s elementary school report card.   1.  What purposes of schooling are visible on the report card?  Try to enumerate at least five  different purposes and explain  your evidence for each one. ( You can add rows to the table below, and if you write more than one line, the cell will automatically expand.)   Specific item on report card Connection to inferred purpose of schooling and explanation for connection 1. Attendance box This allows the parents of the student to know their attendance rate.  Attendance is a key component to an education, as it teaches accountability  and also is necessary in order to get a full education
