ED118  FORM #5:  SELF-EVALUATION OF MY  ENGAGEMENT IN ED118 Education in a Multicultural Society Name: Kate Holden DUE TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 5   Class participation in ED118 is worth 20 points out of 150.  The syllabus lists a variety of practices and kinds  of engagement that the course seeks to encourage, support, and teach:   reading  a wide variety of texts,  including empirical, conceptual and historical work about schools, teaching, and learning;  analyzing and  interpreting  a wide range of text, experiences, and artifacts;  writing  of different kinds; and  thinking and  working with others .  You work in small groups, with people around you, and we discuss in the whole group.  As the semester goes on, I will vary the ways in which I collect evidence of your participation in these many  different forms of participation in the class. We have completed one-third of the course.  It is a good point for you to assess your own participation in the  course. Self-assessment is itself an important part of learning.  Please consider your learning of the
