1 An Interview with Social Media Professional Austin Kleon Introduction Austin Kleon is known for his several books about creativity in the digital age, making him The New York Times' bestselling author. His books include Keep Going, Show Your Work!, and Steal Like An Artist. He has featured in popular media platforms such as PBS Newshour, The Wall Street Journal, NPR's Morning Edition and The New York Times. He was branded "positively one of the most interesting people on the Internet" by The Atlantic, while The New Yorker referred to his work as "brilliant." Austin Kleon is also the major voice of large organizations such as Pixar, The Economist, and SXSW. I selected him because he is an accomplished social media professional who has been in contact with some of the leading media platforms, hence making him a vastly experienced professional with a great deal of knowledge about the social media career or field. Background After completing his education at the Miami University of Ohio, Austin Kleon began his career working in a library in Cleveland, Ohio. He became a blogger and started posting his poems online and on social media platforms, while also teaching the use of computers to library users. He later became a web designer at the University of Texas law school. He then started publishing his poems as Newspaper Blackout and then became a copywriter for a digital ad agency called Spring box after his first book was published. His work has thus far been translated into different languages and featured on numerous social media platforms.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
