Child Abuse: Physical, Psychological, and Social Effects Introduction Child abuse can be defined as a type of cruelty inflicted upon a child, whether through action, injury, death or emotional harm. It can be done either by a parent or a caregiver at school, in organisation, at home or wherever the child interacts with. The abusement leads to anxiety, absence, depression, guilt, shame, suicidal and also engrosses them in the crime activity. Main Body There are four different types of child abuse: (i) Physical abuse: The intentional or unintentional act that causes injury or trauma to a person by the body contact is known as physical abuse. The abusement can be in any form like beating, kicking, burning, punching, stabbing, biting, hair pulling, etc. Even if the person is not intended to cause injury but the child is injured. This injury is also considered as child abuse. The physically abused child lack confidence, become aggressive, violent, stressed and faces many problems in their day-to-day life.
