CNST 361 1-10-08 Chapter 1 - Overview of Project management basics The objectives of each project need to be examined and ‘weighed’ in relation to each other in order to create the proper schedule to best meet the needs of that project. 1 Quality - The expectations of the owner need to be understood by the project team and met (or exceeded) during the project. The relationship between the objectives needs to be understood by the project participants in order to successfully complete the project. A project with a high quality expectations may take longer to build and cost more. 2 Time - When the overall time associated with a project is under consideration, options for reducing the time requirements is discussed, not ways to make the project longer.
