What is ABA?Applied behavior analysis (ABA) is a science that focuses on improving and understanding human behavior. Cooper, Heron, and Heward (2007) stated that ABA is a science that uses strategies from principles of behavior and applies them to improve socially significant behaviors through experimentation to identify the variables responsible for the behavior change [CITATION Joh07 \l 1033 ]. Seven DimensionsApplied Behavior Analysis was founded on seven dimensions that were created in 1968 by Baer, Wolf, and Risley who established an identity to of ABA. The seven dimensions of applied behavior analysis are Generality, Effective, Technological, Applied, Conceptual Systematic, Analytic, and Behavioral[ CITATION Don68 \l 1033 ]. The first of seven dimensionsis generality, which is defined as a behavioral change that proves durable over time and can appear in a wide variety of possible environments. The second of the seven dimensions is effective, which is defined by the practical application creating sufficient practical change which is deemed effective.
