Sec 110807 partly review from last exam issues: -GNP lack of jobs to produce or consume products leads to hunger, a lack of freedom, etc. [structural issue] -Growth in wages incomes capable of purchasing goods to save money and future development [structural issue] -infrastructure of nation with investment healthcare, airports, banks, etc. lead to increased investment -human capital govt wants to increase which are skills necessary to aid in producing more capital, university invests in students who create large human capital and returns to unviersity and to the businesses who receive these students with high capital without having to invest in the students' human capital Health care and the poor - deciding what is health for the poor - important bcuz it increases GNP and raises productivity - disease, accidental and self inflicted injuries - define what should be included in health - should obesity be included as a disease? - yes, because it affects the poor and health care
