Happened as international interaction started becoming more popular ii. “The sun never sets on the British Empire” 1. 5 keys: English channel, Suez Canal, Cape of Good Hope, etc. c. 9/11 – a transforming event? i. Certainly was for US – not for war necessarily d. Anarchy vs. Chaos i. World is anarchy ii. Long time ago, many people depended on Pope to make big decisions e. States and nations i. State – political organization with people are ruled by compulsion if necessary
