There are many ways to financial freedom and even more ways one can fall into a vicious cycle of debt. That is why it is important to have a guide or some kind of structure to follow that has proven results. While looking for a system I came across Dave Ramsey list of baby steps that break down into simple steps how to get out of debt. He goes into detail about why it is important to not make the mistakes many people have like buying a car brand new from a dealership and getting into student loans that your career can’t pay for. STEPS TO FINANCIAL FREEDOM 1. Save $1,000 to start an Emergency Fund Note: This step includes getting current with all bills before starting to save. Make a monthly budget that you stick to that includes saving for the emergency fund 2. Pay off all debt using the debt snowball List all debts and arrange from highest amount owed to the lowest.
