2 HRD Plan The Small Business Association has a sliding scale for what businesses are considered small. This designation will affect its capacity to receive assistance and to bid on government contracts. The client is a financial institution with 500 employees, which is under the auspices of being a small business. To be competitive in the lucrative federal contracts domain as well as private enterprise, it is necessary to incorporate changes in the structure of this organization. This business, Earnestly Financial Corporation, aims to implement a training process model for all stakeholders. Human Resources challenge is to incorporate an efficient training model within the business strategies, core values, culture, and ethical principles of Earnestly Financial Corporation. Several models of training will reflect the needs of the stakeholders such as: diversity, mindfulness, leadership development, mentorship, group dynamics, and financial services. Business Strategies The executives and shareholders at Earnestly have the overarching concern of generating significant revenues. Financial strategists work with individuals, businesses, non-profit agencies, professional organizations, credit unions, banks, insurers, and the federal government to maximize portfolios, correlate decisions for long-range objectives, while minimizing financial liability. A significant component for federal contractors is to maintain a diversified workforce. The government has set guidelines on the amount of minorities who should be employed by contractors. The firm is concerned with setting forth a culture of inclusiveness once the diverse employees are hired.
