EXAM 1 SAMPLE QUESTIONS GENERAL INFO • The exam (in our regular lecture room at our regular time) will be a combination of multiple choice (~20-25), “fill-ins” (~10), and short-answer questions (4-8, depending on complexity). • Exam 1 will cover everything up to ( but not including ) Hardy-Weinberg Equilibrium (HWE will be the earliest material included on Exam 2, and prior to Exam 2 you will have a HWE homework problem set). • You should bring a calculator to the exam so you don’t have to worry about arithmetic errors. • The exam will be based entirely on class and homework (other sources such as the textbook, lab, and the web may be useful for helping you understand lecture and homework material, but are absolutely not essential) Below are some examples of the sorts of questions that will be on our first exam.
