The Birds When first seeing the title The Birds, it may not be clear what the genre is. This, however, is no ordinary movie in which the conflict is created by your average problem. Instead, birds that are usually portrayed as harmless become the horrors of many townsfolk as they struggle to survive. As winter sets in quicker than the years before, part-time farmer Nat Hocken is attacked by a small bird in his house. He decides that this season will be a hard winter, and as he is about to settle for bed, his family is disturbed by a consistent tapping noise. Opening the window, he is bombarded by tons of birds outside his house that peck at his face and body. Nat’s family becomes increasingly frightened as he tries to fight off the violent birds, in the end succeeding in his doing, but coming out wounded. Nat tries to reassure his children and wife that the birds’ unusual behaviour is because of the abrupt weather change, although none of them seem quite convinced. The next morning, he tries to tell others about his experience, but simply gets mocked

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
