1. Using information relating to using research to understand and improve learning: Describe the different research methods of: a) descriptive studies; b) correlation studies; c) experimental studies. Describe each with a 2 - 3 sentence explanation. a. Descriptive studies: means to describe a events n a particular class. A descriptive study includes observation, survey results, interviews, and case studies. b. Correlation studies: measure strength and direction of a relationship between two events or measurements. This relationship ranges from 1.00 to -1.00. The correlation can either be positive or negative meaning the two factors increase/decrease together or the two factors share an inverse relationship. c. Experimental studies: In education psychology we perform experiments in the psychological laboratory, class rooms or outside the classroom in physical and social settings to study the cause and effect relationship regarding the nature of human behavior i.e. the effect on anxiety, drugs or stress on human behavior. In performing an experiment we try to establish certain cause and effect relationships through objective observation of the actions performed and the subsequent changes produced under prearranged or rigidly controlled condition.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
