a. Summarize the steps of the ARCS Model of Motivation. Explain how each of these conditions contributes to a student's motivation to learn. The ARCS model is developed by Keller it is the problem solving, approach to designing the motivational aspects of learning environments to stimulate and sustain students’ motivation to learn, and participate in the classroom. An increase in motivation can lead to increase in productivity. Some teachers can’t get their students to learn because they just can’t motivate them. Teachers can sustain student’s motivation through four elements by John Keller. 1. Attention: Teacher can use humor to get students attention. Teachers can also use inquiry based learning method to keep student’s attention, teacher should present students interesting ways to solve the problems, a teacher should use both visual and auditory stimuli, that is using of infographics and visually integrating models for the students, teachers should also consider the musical adaption of the content. An educator should use various methods in which they present the material for example playing a you tube video as a change of pace. 2. Relevance: Students find learning relevant when they able to build upon prior skills and knowledge. A teacher should let their students how this the lesson relates to the prior lesson and how it relates to anything they have learned. For example, a math teacher can constantly here the
