This poem seems to be about the author say that she’s not in love but can’t figure out why she feels a certain way for the character in the poem. Words: Were the words in this poem difficult or easy to understand? Was there any word or phrase that was powerful to you? The words in the poem was pretty easy to understand; the phrase that I felt was powerful was,” I do not love thee!—yet, when thou art gone, I hate the sound ” this phrase was powerful because it say I don’t love thee but she doesn’t like it when the person is gone.
