Introduction Culture is a field of various characteristics of caste, religion, different language, social habits, behaviour, cuisine, etc. In the 1970s a well-known psychologist Dr. Geert Hofstede published six cultural dimensions to understand the cultural differences among different nations. 1. POWER DISTANCE 2. INDIVIDUALISM vs. COLLECTIVISM 3. MASCULINITY vs. FEMINITY 4. UNCERTAINTY AVOIDANCE 5. LONG-TERM ORIENTATION vs. SHORT-TERM orientation 6. INDULGENCE vs. RESTRAINT This essay will suggest how Brazil has an impact on these dimensions where do they stand in the graph and what cultural differences they share in their country which is different from the other nations. Slowly this essay shall progress by telling us all the cultural differences among the other states and a comparison shown related to Brazil and the rest of the nations by giving each example. According to Hofstede cultural dimensions, let's see where Brazil stands in each POWER DISTANCE – The power distance index mainly tells us about to what extent a particular nation is dominant. PDI has both higher and lower degree of an index; a higher degree indicates a hierarchy that has been established by the society, for example, Belgium, France, Malaysia, Arab world a lower degree suggests what people attempt to do with the power given for instance united states, united kingdom, Germany, Netherlands . Power Distance Index with 69 scores of Brazil on the graph made by Hofstede dimensions it believes that everyone should be treated equally in the society, respect is an essential asset in Brazil it is important to show respect to elderly or the ones who take care of old. In the big organization, power is only given to one the boss who has complete responsibility for everything. Communicating and indication of strength are very necessary. INDIVIDUALISM vs. COLLECTIVISM – These are the group's society has been distributed into, individualism considered to have lost ties where they only concentrate on their immediate family members, for example, Germany, united states, Australia, Canada.
