1 Adonajea Ford Professor Bollman English 1A 24 September 2019 In the article, “How to Understand the UN’s Dire new Climate Report”, the author analyzed the new report on climate change, he articulates the best case scenario, and how it lays out humanity's last hope for managing climate change. Furthermore, the best and worst case scenarios are broken down category. These categories include, the new 2.7-degree plan, cut greenhouse emissions, and to abandon coal and other fossil fuels. Therefore, it is paramount to further explore all viable options relative to the new 2.7 degree, cutting greenhouse emissions, and to abandon coal and fossil fuels. The new report on climate change summarize gives you the best case scenario on climate change and its stating the effects climate change has on the world and how it will affect it in the future. Throughout the article the author addresses the 2.7 plan and how it would have affected the climate. The 2.7 -degree plan argues that humans must stop using fossil fuels in order to reach this plan the level of carbon pollution must go down immediately. But based on recent changes the 2.7 plan is not reachable anymore. Meyers stated that, “Under the plan, the level of carbon pollution released into the atmosphere every year must begin to fall immediately. (Instead, it hit a record high last year.)
