Market a Product or Service, Lunchtime at the Laundromat Pre-Marketing Research Template Analyze the Market Using the project resources, identify and analyze critical elements of the market surrounding Drip & Dry as a business. As you read the materials, take notes here on the follow key questions: Who are Drip & Dry’s current customers? What do their customers need? Which needs are met through what Drip & Dry offers? What are Drip & Dry’s primary market segments? Are there new customers they can attract? Pay attention to Portland, Maine census data and the factors that lead to a successful laundromat. According to the customer survey, most clients that Drip & Dry has lives around the neighborhood where the laundromat operates. Nevertheless, the clients have most of the time enjoyed élite service provided by the Drip & Dry. The idea here is that they would prefer to have changes in the services provided by the Drip & Dry (College for America,2014). In addition, the clients prefer to have Drip and Dry service very early as some of them are busy going to their normal jobs. This would probably need to adjust the schedule that Drip & Dry has or working on upon. Furthermore, the clients are in demanding for change in food and café services to shift and be settled a way from the laundromat. The reason being that some clients claim that not all clients who come for laundry are in need of coffee instead they come for surfing the Wi-Fi (College for America,2014). Drip and dry offers services like fast dryer and washer. Due to the fact that they have efficiency of the machines that they use. For instance, lattes and coffee machines that function to satisfy the needs of all the client that they receive. Furniture that are more relaxed like their small tables and all this creates a beneficial environment for clients who feel like joining the spot with a purpose of networking with other clients and getting served depending on what the clients need (College for America,2014). The residents of Portland are the Drip and Dry’s primary market segment, and the estimation of Maine being 59% of the renters’ population occupying 16,414 houses (City-data, 2016). Furthermore, age matters in this category due to the market segment available and the lack their own drying and washer machines in their dwellings (College for America,2014). It is true that, in Drip & Dry’s agenda have the goal of attracting new clients as it was shown in the client’s survey. This was projected with other ingredients that contains various food stuffs options that is being added to their normal services that they offer in order to meet the satisfaction of their customers (College for America,2014). Furthermore, the current clients for Drip and Dry includes the immediate society. These individuals are the local residents and other guest from out-of-town who normally stop for a cup of coffee. However, most clients take the benefit of both services offered by Drip and Dry like the coffee shop and laundry (CfA, 2014a).
