Homo habilis Used the Oldawan/Pebble tool culture started 2.5 million years ago to about 1.7 million years ago. Would travel distances to gain the type of stone need. Once the stone was struck by the other stone, you would get a flake (the finer tool) and the larger rounder tool (core).
