Running head: PLAGIARISM 2 Academic integrity is described as a commitment that is known to be the standard for school policies because it is known for its honesty and morality during the process of obtaining an education. According to Azusa Pacific Universities catalog (2018), includes helping students feel a sense of moral responsibility with honesty and accountability for their skills but also know the characteristics of academic integrity that are important to a Christian education. Plagiarism comes hand in hand with having an academic integrity. According to the Dictionary (2019), plagiarism can be defined as “the practice of taking someone else’s work or ideas and passing them off as one’s own.” There are several types of plagiarism three will be explained. One type of plagiarism is direct plagiarism, in which someone uses word for word transcription of someone else’s work without citating them. The next type of plagiarism is self- plagiarism, occurs when someone submits some or all of their own work. They may mix several
