Simple Survey Design Guidelines Use Qualtrics Keep them short (5 to 10 minutes or less) Identify the target market you are addressing Separate surveys for two-sided market? (e.g., job candidate vs. employer) Verify the problem/sources of pain Verify the solution/product features
Image of page 10
Flexible Survey Design Overview 1. Friendly introduction 2. Demographics (age, gender, segment, income) 3. Question(s) that validate problem features 4. Questions that validate solution 5. Matrix of product features 6. Question(s) about price point

FRIENDLY INTRODUCTION We are a student team exploring new ways to help high school and community college students prepare for college and professional success. We are particularly interested in students who don’t have access to the broadest range of resources and opportunities. We would love to get your feedback through this completely ANONYMOUS survey! Thank you for your time!

Simple Survey Design Avoid double-barreled questions Is this tool interesting and useful? vs. Is the tool interesting? Is the tool useful? Avoid forced rankings – but rather… Compare product features in a matrix

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
