SUMMARY This experiment is about determining the theoretical predictions of electron energy of methyl-red. This experiment was carried out in a quantum mechanical model. pKa and spectrophotometer were used to determine these predictions of methyl-red. The frequencies of the absorption peaks can also be calculated using the free electron orbital model. This model works in a way that the particle in the box where the pi-electrons confined in a specified space by assumption. The absorbance of different known concentrations of methyl-red solutions were used to plot the graph of quantum number against the energy level to show the exponential relationship between.
