Which Disney character does the telecephalon look like? 3. What are the four regions of an adult brain? 4. Compare grey matter and white matter in the spinal cord vs. in the cerebellum 5. Define: ventricle. What fluid circulates in the ventricles? What type of neuroglia is found there? 6. What do the cerebral hemispheres form? Define/describe: gyri, sulci, fissures, longitudinal fissure, transverse cerebral fissure, central sulcus 7. What are the five cerebral lobes? 8. What are the three basic regions of each cerebral hemisphere? 9. What is the “executive suite” of the brain? What is it the site of? Is it composed of grey or white matter? 10. Know the four general considerations of cerebral cortex 11. For functional areas: know the name of the area (also called a cortex) and its general function (functions are in teal in the slides).
