Atlas myth #1 When Zeus fought the war against Kronos and the other titans, Atlas sides with Kronos. Since Kronos was too old to lead the war so Atlas had to fill in for him. The titans lost the war and since Atlas was the leader, Zeus singled him out and gave him the lifetime burden of having to lift the pillars seperating the Earth from the heavens. Atlas myth #2 One day, Hercules came to Atlas because he needed some golden apples that only Atlas knew where they were. These golden apples was Zeus’ gift to Hera which were guarded by three beautiful nymphs and a three headed dragon. Atlas told Hercules that he will go get the apples for him if he just carried the pillars for him for the time being. As he got the apples and came back, he thought that Hercules could carry the burden for him and told him that he was tired of carrying the pillars so Hercules could do it. Hercules then outsmarts Atlas by asking him to hold the pillars for a minute while he puts pads on his shoulders and would then resume his task.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
