Inequalities of Race and Ethnicity A stereotype is essentially a prejudice which has been formed by one social group about another social group. A repeated exposure to somewhat infrequent things leads to the formation of stereotype. One of the greatest types of stereotypes existing in the world is an association of Muslims with terrorism. Even, though cases of terrorism are far and few to make any substantial generalizations, somehow this stereotype is visible on airports and other public places. Stereotyping is nothing but something that can affect the way people treat each other. If one person stereotypes another in a negative manner, it can lead to that person being treated negatively (Nazroo, 2003). Stereotypes are hard to fight because human minds are conditioned to use crystallized intelligence, that is an experience rather than fluid intelligence that is abstract thought. Once
