Problem Statement Problem Statement. A producer gas made from coke has the following composition by mole: CO 28.0% CO2 3.5% O2 0.5% N2 68.0% The gas enters a combustion reactor where it is burned with such a quantity of air that the oxygen from the air is 20% in excess of the net oxygen required for complete combustion. If the combustion is 98% complete, calculate the required flow of air and the molar flow of each component in the product stream from the combustion. The gas and the air enter the reactor at 30⁰C and 1.5 bar and the reactor is adiabatic and operates at 1.2 bar. Note: assume the air is 21 mole% oxygen and the balance nitrogen.
