INTRODUCTION There are numerous tools available online that are primarily used for analysing the vulnerabilities in web frameworks that can cause destruction at an extensive scale. In this report, two security tools are installed on Kali Linux, and screenshots for them are provided with brief description. Furthermore, four features of each tool are also discussed in this report that helps to analyse their efficiency. The report also comprises of critical analysis of each tool that where performance, Availability, and analytics are performed. TOOL LAUNCH In this section, Metasploit and Zed attack security tool is launched and performed various operations for identifying the vulnerable node in web application. Features of both the tools are briefed along with a demonstration of each tool. METASPLOIT Metasploit is a potent tool that allows cyber researchers or white hat hackers to perform penetration testing on the various frameworks. It is an open-source framework that can be further used for customized attacks [1] and is compatible with Windows and Linux operating systems. It is a type of mitigation tool that analyses all the vulnerabilities on the target host which can be mitigated by following specific actions. Moreover, it allows users to generate unique payloads in order to evade anti-viruses or anti-malware. The following are the screenshot, how tools are launched in a secure manner. METASPLOIT DEMONSTRATION Metasploit is one of the dominant framework that helps to execute various attacks on remote machines by assigning IP address and port number [2] to interfaces. In order to launch msf console on the terminal, “ msfconsole” command is executed on terminal. P a g e 2 | 16
