ASSESSMENT 1 Strategic plan for Bounce Fitness Company’s Overview Bounce fitness centre is actively carrying out four fitness centres that are situated in Cairns, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. The main aim of the fitness centre is to promote fitness services in all over Australia. The board is planning to open two more centres in Perth and Gold Coast. It was established in 2001 by Margaret House as a single aerobic studio. It has grown over fitness centres in Cairns, Brisbane, Sydney and Perth. There motive is to create awareness among the people in Australia about the health and fitness issues. In a very short period Bounce Fitness has achieved a great name in all over Australia. Moreover, James has expanded the business operation in two other cities. Each centre has a head that looks after the daily operation at the centre and send a report to the head office on weekly basis. The organization has a team of trained professionals who provides fitness training at the centre. Every trainer must send a performance report to the centre head stating performance review of each individual. Environmental scan The following SWOT analysis captures the key strengths and weaknesses within the company, and describes the opportunities and threats facing Bounce Fitness. Strengths Results-oriented approach to attracting and maintaining customers. A well-researched, detailed health wellness program that is long-term in focus. Intensively trained staff. Weaknesses High costs associated with customised, personal service. The inability to work on a high-volume business model. The costs of attracting a large corporate client. Opportunities Participation within a growing market. The large increase in clients that follows with the acceptance of Bounce Fitness’s program by a single company. The ability to leverage future quantitively analysis that supports the contention that long-term wellness programs have a significant, positive impact on the company’s bottom line. Threats Lack of immunity to an economic downturn. Potential competition from larger, well established competitors.
