Specific Objectives: Covers basics of optics, microscopy, spectroscopy and fluorescence in the context of imaging at the cellular and molecular level. Covers the principles of biomedical optical imaging modalities: -- with various temporal or/and spatial resolutions; -- with different depth penetration of biological tissue Applications of the optical imaging: -- Biology: cellular and sub-cellular imaging -- Chemistry: molecular imaging -- Engineering: metrology -- Medicine: disease diagnosis
